Chemistry department is amongst the best departments of the institution. It comprises of highly qualified faculty members and technical staff and well equipped laboratory having advanced instruments. The aim of the department is to impart theoretical as well as practical knowledge in the areas of applied chemistry and environmental studies to the students. The department also considers projects in the areas of developing green polymers, studies related to waste water treatment and other relevant areas of chemistry and environment management Since fundamental principles of Physics form the very basis of Engineering and Technology, the department, therefore, aims at providing the necessary knowledge of Physics to the young engineers. The main activities of the Department are Under-graduate teaching,  Research and Development programme.In the 1st  and 2nd semester, the students of all B. Tech branches are given compulsory courses in Physics.The Department offers curricula consisting the basic principles of Physics besides emerging areas of Technology so as to provide necessary background to future Engineers.
